Training on fragility, statebuilding and peacebuilding
Senior DLP Research Fellow Alina Rocha Menocal leads a day of training on fragility, statebuilding and peacebuilding at the Swisspeace Academy in Basel this week. This is part of swisspeace's Certificate of Advanced Studies in Fragility, Conflict & Statebuilding.
Alina’s contribution on 5 March 2015 to the ten-day course for practitioners and researchers is a series of sessions in which she examines definitions of state fragility, statebuilding and peacebuilding and traces how thinking on these concepts has evolved in recent years. She will also discuss state-society relations, political settlements and peace agreements, and synergies and tensions in statebuilding and peacebuilding.
swisspeace (The Swiss Peace Foundation) is a practice-oriented peace research institute, and aims to build the peacebuilding capacities of Swiss and international organizations.
