Politics into practice: A dialogue on governance strategies and action
The Overseas Development Institute (ODI) round table
London, 7th and 8th December 2010
The Overseas Development Institute (ODI) hosted a round table on 7-8 December 2010 entitled ‘Policy into Practice: A dialogue on governance strategies and action in international development’. This dialogue is an important follow up to a number of events over the last few years that focused on the implications of governance research and political economy analysis for international development. The aim of the workshop is to get agreement on how lessons learnt might play a greater role in shaping policy agendas and operational priorities in relation to governance. It will bring together researchers, practitioners and policy-makers and will focus on translating findings into concrete implications for aid donors as well as a range of other international development actors. The emerging findings from the DLP will form an important contribution to this policy dialogue.
